NOTE
Compressor stall (surge) is characterized by
sharp rumbles or loud sharp reports and
severe engine vibration. A rapid rise in
measured gas temperature is also noted,
depending on how severe the surge is.
1. If it is suspected that compressor surge has
occurred, proceed as follows:
a. Inspect aircraft and engine records to
determine any history related to the
suspected compressor surge condition.

(1) Inspect inlet housing and
compressor for obstruction or
