1. Inspect engine after normal, acceleration, and
margin check runs (Ref. TM 55-1520-240-10
or Task 1-107) as follows:
a. Inspect for leaks and security of mounting
provisions, hoses, and accessories.
b. Remove Oil Filter Cap and Stem Assembly
and Oil Filter Element (Ref. Task 8-23).
c. Inspect for accumulation of foreign material.
(1) If foreign material is present, install
oil filter cap and stem assembly and
new oil filter element (Ref. Task 8-27).
(2) If no foreign material is present, install
oil filter cap and stem assembly and oil
filter element (Ref. Task 8-27).

FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE:
Service Engine Oil System (Task 1-74).
