e. Determine depth of wear (12) on internal
splines (13) as follows:
(1)
Remove projecting material (14) on
spline (13) by blending. Use carborun-
dum stone (E10).
(2)
Determine distance between splines (13)
at wear (12) with inside caliper (15).
Measure set thickness on inside caliper
(3)
(15). Use outside micrometer caliper.
Record as Dimension C.
