Using multimeter, measure insulation resistance of

thermocouple jumper lead (1) s follows:

Set multimeter range switch to RX 1000
b.
Touch red probe (2) to terminal lug (3)
c.
Touch black probe (4) to terminal lug (5)
Meter shall indicate 1000 ohms minimum. If

meter indicates less than 1000 ohms, tag
thermocouple jumper lead as defective. Use tag
(E58)
