The Maintenance Allocation Chart assign maintenance functions based on
past experience and the following consideration:
( 1 ) S k i l l s a v a i l a b l e.
(2) Work time required .
(3) Tools and test equipment required and/or available .

The assigned levels of maintenance authorized to perform a maintenance
function are indicated.

maintenance functions assigned

maintenance level, be specifically authorized by the maintenance officer of the
l e v e l o f m a i n t e n a n c e t o w h i c h t h e f u n c t i o n i s a s s i g n e d.

This transfer of a maintenance function to a lower maintenance level
d o e s n o t r e l i e v e t h e h i g h e r m a i n t e n a n ce
l e v e l o f t h e r e s p o n s i b i l i t y f o r t he
f u n c t i o n .
T h e h i g h e r l e v e l o f m a i n t e n a n c e w i l l p r o v i d e t e c h n i c a l s u p e r v i s i on
and inspection of the function being performed at the lower level.
