This Maintenance Allocation
INTRODUCTION
Chart (MAC) assigns maintenance functions
in accordance with the Three Levels of Maintenance concept for Army aviation.

(AVUM),
Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM) and Depot Maintenance - are depicted on
the MAC as:
AVUM, which corresponds to an O Code in the Repair Parts and Special
Tools List (RPSTL)
AVIM, which corresponds to an F Code in the Repair Parts and Special
Tools List (RPSTL)
DEPOT, which corresponds to an D Code in the Repair Parts and Special
Tools List (RPSTL)

(1) Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM) activities will be staffed and
equipped to perform high frequency On-Aircraft
m a i n t e n a n c e t a s k s r e q u i r e d t o
r e t a i n o r r e t u r n a i r c r a f t s y s t e m s t o a s e r v i c e a b l e c o n d i t i o n .
The maintenance
capability of the AVUM W ill be governed by the Maintenance Allocation Chart
(MAC) and limited by the amount and complexity of ground support equipment
(GSE),
