Remove retaining ring (3). Use machinist's
scriber.

Thread machine screw (4) into hole (5). Using
machine screw (4), carefully remove check valve
(6) with a twisting motion. Remove packing (7)
and machine screw (4).
4.
Inspect check valve (6) and oil pump bore (8).
There shall be no metal chips or other objects. If
metal chips or other objects are present, clean
check valve (6) with lint-free cloth (E26)
dampened in dry cleaning solvent (El7).
