4-73. INDICATOR LIGHTS.
Maintenance
of indicator lights (2, 4, 8, figure
4-37) consists of
testing
a nd
a. Test.
(1) Open control panel
access
door.
(2) Check press-to-test feature
of each indicator light.
If light
fails to come on, replace lamp (para-
graph 4-74).
If light still fails to
come on,
proceed to next step.

(3) Disconnect battery cable plug
connector from battery.
(4) Loosen turnlock fasteners and
open control panel.
(5) Use
multimeter
and
check
continuity between pin 1 and pin 2.
(See figure 4-45. ) If continuity is not
Indicated,
replace
lamp
socket
(paragraph 4-73 b).
(6) Place
multimeter
leads
between pins 2 and 3. Press lamp hous-
ing inward.
If continuity is not
indicated,
replace
lamp
socket
(paragraph 4-73 b).
(7) Close
control
panel a n d
secure with turnlock fasteners.
(8) Close control
panel
access
door.
(9) Connect battery cable plug
connector to battery.

Loosen fasteners and

and disconnect wiring
